I think of the father losing his entire family like that. Back then, fires were much more common than they are today with all the modern alert systems we have, the fire retardant materials, and the fire engines, too!! This picture provides one of those shocks out of complacency that make a person take stock and be thankful. LikeLike Reply This grave is in a small cemetery in an abandoned settlement in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. It was tough living there, hot in summer and isolated all the time.
