Chutes and Ladders

I know this game as “Snakes and Ladders” but there is no way I’m getting close enough to a snake to photograph it.

Here are some ladders:

Here is a chute, or as I would say, a slide. This is on the waterfront in Wellington, New Zealand. The following photo is the French Fountain at the Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart. The last one, The Flow Rider, on Explorer of the Seas is basically a water slide.

Finally my version of a snake picture. This sign is at Franklin where there is a nature walk by the river. A volunteer told me that a relative of hers painted it but they actually had to ask her not to make it too cute in case people didn’t take it seriously. It is snake season here now and nearly all Australian snakes are dangerous so I take them very seriously. However, I do think the sign is cute.
