This is one of my favourite places in Tasmania. This narrow gauge railway runs between Strahan and Queenstown and is operated as a tourist railway. It is a fantastic way to see the rainforest as there are no roads through this area. Railway enthusiasts will love the steam engines and the unusual engineering needed to build the railway. I took these pictures on our last visit in 2012 when we went to the west coast with our friends Gillian and Bruce. Gillian and I have birthdays only two weeks apart and this trip was to celebrate our 55th birthdays. The weather was not the best as it was late May but we still enjoyed ourselves. I have been meaning to write about the railway for a while and will do so in the near future.
